Artist's Comments

This is probably my favorite picture, because really it's very true. Best friends do sometimes have the ability to know what your really thinking, even when you say something different.

This is lottie's editting and everything put together with my basic idea. In the beginning i was joking around but it turned into a pretty awesome photo.

I have no idea WHAT it is about, but it is pretty cool!

In the morning in the evening in the night time gotta have it it's a feeling I can't fight it you got me speaking another language

I see what you're getting at but, although it might change the meaning, i think the photo would have more power if you cropped it so as to have just the character on the left. Just a thought.

It's cool tho!!

That's interesting... why do you say that?
:iconkalm:
Because, although its a good idea, the idea you're trying to express...

'Best friends do sometimes have the ability to know what your really thinking, even when you say something different'

...isn't obviously what one would draw from the picture (until of course you stated your intentions.)

Also, understanding the concept behind the picture, for me, the speech/thought bubbles are bit too intrusive. The reason i find them intrusive (other than the obvious) is that they only serve one purpose. It sort of seems like you took the original photo, then decided that it lacked a meaning and just created one with photoshop presets.

Sooo, if i was you i would of cropped to just the character on the left with his thought bubble. Especially considering the position he is sitting in. It's half meditative, half infant which fits perfectly with the warped pattern in the speech bubble. Especially with the headphones, it would create a sense of being lost in thought. Such as in meditation or in childlike musings.

But then you'd lose the connection of the characters which i like a lot, apart obviously from the headphones, there seems to be a chemistry between the characters that you've captured. It would seem a shame to sacrifice this.

Perhaps you should just cut the bubbles and leave the two characters. Either way i'd definately prefer this photo without the bubbles.

Do you have a bubble fetish?

Just my opinion.

Keep up the good work tho, you've clearly got ideas!!

But if i could take pictures like that when i was fifteen i wouldn't be working in a bar now.
:icondissimilus:
We actually DO have a fetish..
no. not really.

We did keep the picture without the bubbles, simply as a symbol of the connection between us.
